Poetry and Me

It started in school when I was asked to write,

my homework took me longer than usual that night,

I had to come up with a creative Haiku,

only problem was I didn't have a clue,

Brainstorming like crazy but my paper stayed white,

I looked to the clouds, but did not see the light,

Eventually I came to know that poetry can be,

anything and everything - it can set you free,

There are no restrictions when writing for pleasure,

Preserve what you know, keep it forever
