Poetry Because I Am

Young and strong, yet not so tall

I read books of all shapes and sizes

The stories took me captive and mesmorized me

But the feeling was just not complete

That is until I unearthed the treasure of verse

And saw the magic inside

Now feelings that seem to spin in my head

Get penned to the page before me

Whether rhyming or blocking, the words flow from the source

Where I know what I'm for and what I am about
