The Poetry Blast

There was o so much to write about

So much outside that door

So much that was trapped inside

I couldn't hold back anymore

I had to get these feelings out

The pencil was right there

Hundreds of ideas calling out

Ideas I had to share

Some may call it stupid, cool or dumb

And others might say  it's a curse

But I am proud of that special day

I wrote that very first verse
