Poetry Changed Me

Poetry taught me beauty,
the beauty of words.
I now know the rhythm of a sentence
can speak to me,
more than a human can.
I love the way I can talk onto paper
and look at my artwork I have created.
I smile at my thoughts bleeding in ink,
that’s when I realize,
we need more of this to see the real meaning
of life.
