Poetry Given

Poetry is a gift from God.

Given to us as a way of expression.

A way to express our heart and  mind.

Whether on a page or out loud it still makes a beautiful sound.

It goes deeper than the surface that we see.

It brings forth truth that sometimes is hard to reveal.

It helps birth understanding of something once misunderstood.

It can shed light in the darkest of one's soul....

Poetry is art.

It can be shaped, scuplted, painted or drawn to represent anything one needs it to be.

Poetry is given and gives to those who write and those who read.

To be like a beautiful escape from the world outside.
