Poetry is history

Poetry

A means to an end,

Or just the beginning;

Poetry like many things,

Is art;

It carries the ideals and thoughts of the ones who made it real,

And the lines that make its expression;

As art is of the past tense,

It is similar to history;

As history does not lie,

Same goes for art;

Poetry does not lie.
