Poetry Lesson

I have always seen great poetry films that claim, words are the knives that pierce the future. The stanzas are the masses that come together to form change and progression. However, the feathery words are not what helped me. Poetry taught me to be free, I keep a diary and write down my feelings. However, Poetry is more than that. Poetry is breathing a breath of fresh air after having held in the pain of a trying life. I might be young, but poetry has taught me to let go of the meaningless battles and enjoy my short time on earth. Poetry taught me to dance like no one is watching. Poetry taught me to love who ever I want. Poetry has taught me that God will love me no matter what. Poetry is my safe haven, and I learned that on my own.
