Poetry to Me:

Poetry is an escape.

An escape from reality and myself.

A chance to open my mind and think.

Think about what the words mean.

Open my mind and allow my intellect to come forth.

An opportunity to connect the words to myself.

Poetry has allowed me to become a better me.

A smarter me.

A more intellectual me.

A better interpreter.

The best reader I could ever me.
