Poetry for me
I wrote my first poem when I was young.
It was almost spirtual as if it fell off my tongue.
I couldn't believe how amazing it felt.
I was so thrilled that I could almost melt.
I released my inner secrets and my deepest thoughts.
I knew it was a talent that could never be bought.
I sometimes worried about what others would think.
But I realized after that it didn't matter to me.
I expressed all of my emotions that no one knew about.
I relayed all of the issues that I had dealt with, throughout.
I didn't want people to know because I was scared.
So I hid them in a notebook and kept it under the stairs.
Finally, I realized that people didn't have to know.
They were private for me, like my own show.
So I keep them to myself and read them always.
And write a new one occasionally with no dismays.
