Poetry in My Eyes

There will always be pain
There will always be sorrow
We will always burn bridges
But when can we be free?

The world is full of hate
This life is full of heartache
We will have restless nights
But when can we be free?

Through the looking glass
To a great Gatsby party
As we ride off into the sunset
Poetry, fables, and music set us free

When there is nowhere else to turn
When the sky is full of greys
The only thing I ever do
I write a poem to say
To say that I feel
To say that I understand
To say all I fer to say
For the pen is mightier than the sword by far
