poetry, my teacher

poetry has taught me voicing
emotions on which I am dwelling
letting them out, line by line
to keep them bottled up is suicide

poetry has taught me vision
words become my inspiration
for me to start taking action
on ideas coming to fruition

poetry has taught me life
its joys, sorrows, and all its strife
experiences, I can empathize
dreams, I hope to realize
