Poetry is my teacher

Poetry is my teacher,

It has taught me many things,

Many of which I would have not discovered on my own,

Seeing others perspectives through simply reading a poem is remarkable,

It helped me become a more understanding and caring person,

It helps you be in another persons shoes without actually living in their situation, 

Poetry is a beautiful thing, 

The understanding and knowledge it brings to the world is unlike no other,

Poetry is my teacher.
