Poetry A Voice Within Me

Afraid of the ways my words would be interpreted

And my love would be tooken for granted

My heart and soul have been caged for years

The words I write my only outlet

A way to feel and allow my emotions to reach the world

Poetry gives me a voice

In world that demands you be heard to succed

Poetry allows me to take a stand

All the while I discover who I truly am

Who I am meant to be
