Poets by Candlelight

Words
For peace         for sanity
For touching outer realms and things not seen but felt, breathed, deep into the soul

Thoughts
Of loves lost        of times changed
Of feelings that well but cannot be let out save for these simple lines across linen white

Hopes
To touch future generations         to say what needs to be said
To give salutations from a generation, beaten and misunderstood, lost and empty, searching for vacancies and half-smoked cigarettes

Wining and dining their alter egos in hopes that their given thoughts might some day make words of change and hold a candle to their life just for a moment.
