Poets who change words
I was jealous of poets who change words
Who gave them such honor?
To change whatever they want, however they want it
I too want to change the pronounciation
I too want to change the tone
I too want to change the meaning
But I was restricted from doing so
Now look at me
I didn't listen
I didn't fold
I am now
A poet who changes words
Something wrong with this poem?

Your Poem's Voice
Personal journey of poetic identity, grounded in speaker's lived experience and desire.
Multiple interconnected ideas: jealousy, restriction, rebellion, transformation across 13 lines.
Mixed: resentment and restriction tempered by defiant self-actualization and acceptance.
Insistent repetition and anaphora create building momentum; defiant crescendo in closing.
13 lines falls in 7-15 range, solidly short-to-moderate length poem.
Minimal figurative language; mostly declarative statements with some implied metaphor of restriction.
Pure lyric internal voice; introspective first-person reflection on self and desire.
