Point Anomaly

For a minute we froze,

A camera still, eye contact

And I saw

What might, but will not

Be.

It was only an instant

A point which does not lie

On the overall are of this story.

Out of plot, that point exists--

Is defined.

Still true, if lacking continuity,

(And not longer true, for lack of it)

Parallel dimension glimpsed and gone

It was only

An anomaly.
