Point of View

It has been A very long road Yet here I am standing tall Free from a prison of others design Or was it? A place of learning so they said, But whilst there felt naught but dread. Bullied, beaten, but still I stand. So shall we all hand in hand. I've stood by and seen Those all around me cry While fighting for there cause Wanting, screaming, the be heard. While only I would listen. Yet here I stand And I have heard both sides I have stood behind, as the teachers run and hide Structure is what they hope to impart Yet is that smart? Should we not all be free? Yet here I stand by my self And as I look around See what they should have taught. So now I am away, And this is what I say. Here I stand... Try to understand.

LongGone

I dont consider myself smart or a poet...and I dont think I'll ever be a great one either. But that won't stop me from trying.
