Pointless
Extending a hand to the emptiness before me.
Light is shrouded in shadow.
The glass ceiling had been hit too hard, yet it never shattered.
It never faultered.
Pushing is pointless.
Effort is wasted.
In times of desperation,
I find blind remnants of what was previously elation.
