Pointless evil

We are in a war,

but we don't know what it is we're fighting for.

we don't know who's dying, who exactly are we killing?

when our soldiers arrive our patriotism is thrilling.

but are they still human like they were before they got behind their weapons?

before they were brainwashed in the camps that they were kept in.

who's the enemy? Are we the heroes?

where exactly do we stand?

Hey we'll reward you with jobs and give you discounts where you go,

all you have to do is murder on other people's land.

Where is this mentality from?

I thought we were supposed to be progressive,

Not taught that we're honorable when we drop bombs,

and act so violent and aggressive.

Our country fighting a war here and there since I was born,

never taking a breath and pausing, asking, "what's all this for?"

Keep recruiting your high school kids distributing your pamphlets to innocent hands,

hopefully one day this will all stop, asked to by popular demand.

I love music. That's the most important thing to know about me. Art, photography(esp. Black and white), generations that I don't really belong to, books, TV shows from the 90's and early 2000's, movies old and new, cities, the color black, water...
