Jeremiah 17:10 New English Translation (NET Bible)

10 I, the Lord, probe into people’s minds.
I examine people’s hearts.
I deal with each person according to how he has behaved.
I give them what they deserve based on what they have done.

Polished …

Better to be careful than to be criticized

You don’t have to be a perfect little man

The world is full of heroes appointed by self

Who show off their wares wherever they can

Don’t try to be a perfect one just hang on to the best

Facts are soon forgotten and from memories erased

Pangs of hunger within searches to pass every test

As the one hanging around just hates to be abased

I want to be independent and to be elevated in this frame

It seems to me I figured wrong to connect to my place in it

For life appears oft trackless and a simple time-wasting game

This bag of bones in aging skin surely cannot get the best of it

Once I was a puppy I would bark a lot or whine constantly against the wind

Now I seem way too old to bark and way past learning any new tricks

I really dislike my collar and tag and while chewing on some lint

I growl a lot while shedding lots of hair and folks don’t give a lick

“Thank you Jesus for Your unconditional Love and Grace”
