Political expression ... satire

Ephesians 6:12 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers,

against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.

  Satire

Where to go? I am at a stand-still

What to write and make some sense?

How to speed-up going uphill?

I’m out of gas and feeling tense

I prefer to go slowly downhill

Like most around me seem to do?

Where in the valley is bellyaching

And be addicted to a continues drool

“Join the club” reads the banner

“Become like us” the popular song

Liberality fills the uncharted chorus

As they want obedient to come along

“Don’t you worry” we’ll do the thinking

Just join and follow in our joyful parade

You don’t have what it takes to go by self

As you seem to swallow just lemonade

Puffy Joe and empty John lead at the beginning

Fancy and her cohorts are following in hollow step

All groggy and doped up by self-importance

Representing folks with the phrase: “Inept”

Speak only well about the dead

Say nice things about politicians

Although they departed long ago

Into the embrace of some morticians

As words still tumble out of their being

Why should we expect the sensible?

Why not ignore them altogether?

Their emptiness seems unpreventable

They treat us like we are the zombies

Like we’re like them “the walking dead”

I know “my rights”, they always whisper

As they try to crawl in my head and bed

They toot their horns or saxophones

The noise pollution close to unbearably

With both hands grab for the microphone

To instigate behavior truly deplorably

The time goes on. I’m at a standstill

The parade of fate moves slowly by

All the pre-formed disparate faces

Have no clue and I wonder why?

I wish they all retired in Dubai

Building castle of dry sand

They would never run out of work

In that far away desert land

Tooting their horns close to Iran

With their leaders on their asses

And with a joy-ride to relax in haste

with their greed as time slowly passes

As time goes on and also their wives

Chewing the cud without swallowing

Yep we are really eight years in for it

If she gets in first with all her following

Long live the queen of darkness

Well only here in the temporal

Let her do the damage very well

Toward the end of the story’s moral
