Pomegranates and Salt

take it with a grain of salt

like you take me as a grain of salt

but don’t blame yourself baby

 cuz it’s not your fault

Place it on me

Not that i don’t like change.

It just seems like i let

All the bad things

Fall into place

Trust me I’m tired.

But is there use trying

Not to feel so small

As a grain of salt

Ready to be dissolved

In a love that’s false

It’s not that i don’t want change

What’s there to do anyway

Add flavor to your life

Make you feel good for the night

then you walk away?

I give my all

Yet you let me fall

Off of countertops

Thought i was your top

Priority

Fall in love with feeling lovely

Quick fixes of “i love thee “

And “Shall i compare thee to a summers day”’s

Just for you to walk away

And i don’t take it to heart

when you break me down into parts

ions, atoms, the very core, the very start

It’s not that i don’t like change

Sticking by your side seems to be the only way

So take it with a grain of salt

Like i let you take me as a grain of salt
