Pools of Drops

Drops of thought rain

Down on my dry soul

And wash away pain

Letting the creek flow

Like the drying sea

Holly waters quenching

My thirst like Galilee

My week hands clenching

The strong willed savior

Of all of us and none of us

Controlled by a new era slaver

With the same spiteful, devilish

Disfigured, and crocked smile

Spewing a cacophony of cackles

And false tears from the Nile

A dog faced monster like a jackal

But no worries from my people and I

Holly skin walkers that will never die

Long since lost on a spiritual quest

Proud people standing as one abreast

For strength is found in the Devil’s own words

Thoughts taking flight like flocks of birds

Peace found in the beauty of poetry

An unequivocal beauty that is sultry

For my thoughts will forever reign

For my thoughts will forever rain
