Pop
Innocent.
Such a connotation,
as if there is only
innocent
and
guilty.
Guilty of what?
Of love?
Of curiosity?
Of experience?
Does it matter that I have
been loved before you?
Is it bad that I am not naive,
that my “cherry has been popped”?
That I am a girl who has been loved?
No.
Curiosity does not make me dirty.
Experience does not make me used.
Virginity does not equate pure, better,
or perfect.
Maybe it’s time I popped your cherry
of understanding.
