Pop the Bubble
If I could,
I’d pop all the bubbles.
Every bubble that every person lives in
That stands between them and the outside world,
That tells them that their actions have no outside effect…
That convinces them that their lives don’t intersect and
dance with others’.
I’d pop’ em all.
And then maybe, we’d wake up.
Maybe we’d see a passerby as a brother
And remember that every encounter,
Every nonchalant “hello” or “’scuse me”,
Could be the first note to a meaningful lifetime song
Of laughter, memories.
And now that you’ve read this,
I hope your bubble has popped,
Your eyes open,
This revelation fulfilled.
But just in case,
Read this again, and let it all sink in…Ready?
*Pop*
