Poplar

I’m questioning so much my tongues pierced with question marks

Deeper than an impulsive phase

Pulling pulp from my impulses of phrase:

An embark

Assimilate the Druid tree

Pull myself apart

Whats the meaning of separation

Been almost 2 thousand days

Defined by the day of duration

-

Not a single day one remains

Try to think back

sky the in Cranes

So much to gain from pains

But why is it, when I’ve looked in the eyes

Of the suffering

Lines tend to deepen in the skin

So far within,

It’s changing dna

Generational abuse

Use of the kaleidoscope

Using one eye

Assure you it’s not the third

Birds eye view from what you heard

Obsessing over what you over heard

Don’t feel enough, Xs and Os

That’s why hashtags, become tic tac toe

I still hear the alarm clock,

Keep telling me that your woke

Even with teeth still find a way to choke

-

Wavering faith

Law of attraction

Pulling up in the wraith

With the bass still blasting

Those vibrations are only so strong

For so long

Been expanding my literature

Got time for no songs

As I sit in this 6 cornered room

With a leather booklet

More like a looking glass

Put in past

Accompanied by wood and brass

Used to know

Now all I really do is ask

What happens when those piercings expand

What’s not good,

Is to sit and watch the lines in my hand

Hoping I can tight rope n balance my way to success

Physical matter had me thinking I had less

•

I stuck my diamonds back in the ground

Now I got more

Isolation drove me off shore

I’m staring out at west and fort cove

Still smelling the embers of nov

Knew it was just about winter

This years different I feel real transitions

It’s too late, to be having premonitions

~

I’m scared for my dawg

He trapped in the fog

His own shadows haunting him like a ground hog

Ya see dawg

I’m wondering if change and growth are

synonyms

I can run from home, but when homes from within

Best I can do is make myself spin

You know where I’m at

Wipe your feet on the mat

Dirt all in the house

I had enough with that

-

I’ve been shook

Question marks have been fish hooks

Although I’m getting pulled out of water

Placed on land

I don’t know exactly where I stand

~

I won’t sit and watch the lines in my hand

hi i love this - i love how it's one of those poems that you hear as you read.

I think my favorite line is the "even with teeth still find a way to choke" - because it sounds so desperate.
