Porcelain Doll

She stood still as stone For she could not move. People walked pass without a second glance, Pretending they could not here her quiet screams for help; Ignoring her pleading eyes to be saved from her spell. For years she remained still as stone. But one day an angel came. He brought her up to an ecstasy made of love, Looked at her with eyes of concern. He told her she was amazing, special, beautiful, Contrary to whom she saw in her reflection. She never complained, But bathed in the sweet emotions. She was joyous someone would love her When she could not love herself. She believed this high was meant to last Until he dropped her down And forgot to help her back up. For years she remained still as stone. Her lungs filled with dust And her glass heart shattered, Slicing her insides. She could not scream for help, Could not plead to be saved, For she was only still a stone.
