Porcelain Doll

His porcelain skin

& wiry brown hair,

His rosy cheeks

& baby blue eyes,

The cotton jacket

With matching leather shoes

& stiff cap.

Always at attention, like a soldier

Ready to fiend for the ones he loves;

If only he could remember them.

His thoughts,

Full of no recollection for his family.

This dreaded fear

Eats at me, agonizingly

Letting me know that he might not remember,

That he will most likely forget.

Letting me know that he is going to falloff his shelf

That has held him up so high for so long

& he will break

Into a million pieces.
