The port of San Estaban

The wild waters of the Nalón

Cut through mountains over time

A separation of lovers

But now a river runs

Creating water for crops

They grow kiwis there

The river mouth is towned

With houses made of paint

And cranes of a bygone era

Makes me think of coal

As black as a moonless night.

There are no miners left
