Port Serenity

I know the storms you face On the open see's The perils of trust and skullduggery Always adrift and eyes clapping on sights perceived N'er a port nor lantern's light At midship and no stars at night Hear the voice of me The Siren's song Not of doom and demise More of safety and a port by sunrise Rest your soul Repair your sails Restring your rigging Stock up on essentials Set sail on the tide Any tide When it suits you I am that port where you are always welcome Where you will be protected from the storms that chase you Through the winds and the doldrums of your travels I will be that place in which you may stay Unguarded and free to roam my shores To engage with me in topics of adventure To plan your conquests To whatever extent you desire or devise I am of an ephemeral place Only seen when needed or desired Want me for naught and I shall be invisible My harbours closed to all My waters sterile of life and sustainment Beware ye who're so much for the plunder There be no treasure here Only surrender
