Positive

has anyone else ever wanted to just be stuck and be miserable for a while?

I want to be filled with grief,

But my mind is forcing me to be happier,

I want to be bursting with anger,

But my mind is forcing me to enjoy life,

I want to be drowning in a sea of overwhelming sorrow,

But my mind is forcing me to be mentally healthy,
I want my heart to be torn and ripped to shreds,

But my mind is forcing me to sew it back together,

I want myself to be shattered to pieces,

But my mind is forcing me to glue myself back together,

I want my life to be filled with endless agony,

But my mind is forcing me to be happier than ever,

I want to keep the shadows close to my side,

But my mind is forcing me to turn on a flashlight,

I want to be forever surrounded by this darkness,

But my mind is forcing the sun to drive it away,

I want to forever disappear in this mist,

But my mind is forcing the wind to blow it away,

I want to forever stay in this saddened negativity,

But my mind is forcing me to be positive.

writers_gonna_write

I have been writing poetry for 5 years now and I have a collection of over 600 original poems I've made. I submitted a poem to Appelley Publishing and was published in the 2018 addition of their poetry book. I love to read and write, and I have a cat and a hamster.
