Potential

My potential
Transcendent of my past
There's so much I know I can do
But sometimes it's too vast

The beauty and the wonder
Somewhere deep inside
All the magnificence within me
Always seems to hide

I try to let myself hold true
Try to sing my song
But limits started popping up
Now everything's gone wrong!

The potential to be myself
Somehow got too tempting
Now my potential to be successful
Is lost in my exempting

All the secrets of the world
May be hidden inside me
But until I sort these mad things out
They do begin to try me
