The Pounding in My Head Won

The pounding in my head won’t go away

The rush, the high, flying

None of it will go away

The rush, the rush, it’s supposed to end

The night over, the day breaking

--but fuck that why end it early?

They are watching you as you fly

You’re the crash test body

You are the cunt

You are the bitch

You are the malfunction in their system

Delete you- fuck you -push you away is their answer

Captures you in the cage-

Closes in for the deed-

Then crushes you in the process

the pain, then the screams no one will hear-

Just a noise in the back their heads

Erased, broken inside

I put the gun to my head,

I put the finger on the trigger,

I turn to say goodbye,

--gone
