Poverty
I WAS BORN
MY MOTHER WAS ON CRACK
OUR RELATIONSHIP WAS TORN
PASS FROM HOMEVTO HOME JUST TO FIND OUT
NOBODY WANTED
NOBODY LOVED
I WAS A HONOR ROLL STUDENT
I STAYED ACTIVE BUT BECAUSE I WAS BORN INTO
POVERTY THERE WAS NO HOPE FOR ME
JUST TO DOPE U SEE
DROP OUT TO SELL COKE AND WEED
I TRIED TO B EVERYTHING GREAT
TRIED TO FORGET MY PAST BUT I WAS REMINDED EVERYDAY
SHE NAMED ME NOTHING
I NAMED MYSELF POVERTY
