Poverty vs. Passion

I am poor,

my family is poor

and we have always been poor.

From the lack of money,

I began to drip with honey.

For life is not about the fame nor the fortune.

It is about how you choose your poison.

Being poor

has taught me more

than you could ever imagine.

I may have never learned about fashion,

but I surely learned about passion.

Not only for me,

for my family.

Some say money can't create happiness,

yet money would lessen the madness.

I grew up poor,

doesn't define me.

Strive to be more,

for me and my family.
