Poverty’s Doom

Rich or poor,old or young,

Crime is done just for fun.

The poor get trapped, the rich are free,

There is a lack of crime and violence in rich communities.

It then raises the question of whether the poor carry guns,

And if conducting such behavior is just for fun.

Does it help them cope?does it bring them peace?

Why is it then that poor communities lack harmony?

Listen to my bargain, listen to my plee.

Carry your hope like guns and a smile so sweet.

Are the rich then much better,or is it the same,

Do they handle as much turmoil as those in the drains?

Like busy ants going to their nests,

the poor are put under the ultimate test.

Wishing and praying for a change.

Departing prayers,overwhelming fear,

“Lord,protect me from here”.

Bless my soul and forgive my sins,

So that I may be able to understand the crime and violence that lies within.

Listen to my bargain, listen to my plee.

Carry your  hope like guns and a smile so sweet.

Are the rich then much better,or is it the same

Do they handle as much turmoil as those in the drains?

The crime and violence that fills the air,

Scarred by the wicked, scarred by the fear.

Can a change come about in poor communities,

For the betterment, peace, and overall unity.
