Power

I can write a paragraph,and-

Maybe-touch your mind;

But I can write a poem, and with it,

Reach you deep inside.

Writing simple essays may

Not be so very hard;

But writing down a poem will tap

Emotions that I guard.

A poem is just a song that's had

The music stripped away,

With words that speak and flow and move

I can the whole world sway.

So, yes, I can write stories,

And maybe even books;

But with the poetry I write,

I change the way things look.
