The Power of Change
What a life I live! What a life there is!
But what if I could live a life of power and bliss?
The bliss of fortune and the power of change,
To shoot center target at a log distance range.
What's in the center would be the ability in my hand
to create a new world, a new ruler of the land.
The things I could do! The things I could see!
The power to be anything I want to be!
But, would I change what is here or change what I am?
No! And here's why. Because of the Lamb.
Our Creator, our Savior created nature and life.
Why think of change, regret or strife?
He sent the Lamb to show us of His own creation.
Yet, the Tyger, that "angel," that abomination.
So, what would I change? There is one thing.
Get rid of that Tyger and his captivating swing.
The Power of Change means nothing to me
if I cannot see life the way He wanted me to see.
Credit goes toward William Blake for writing The Songs of Innocence and the Songs of Experience. William Blake is a wonderful poet and without his inspiration, I would not have been able to show my appreciation toward this topic.
Check out William Blake. In every poem he writes, he writes two. They generally oppose each other and comparing them is breath-taking.
