The Power to Choose

There are many things in life one cannot choose. 

Parents, family, or even who they lose. 

But how you feel when you wake up and how you live your life 

Can be simpler than choosing to be man and wife. 

Each morning you choose for your day to be good or bad,

Sometimes the day will end happy, others will be sad.

But a blessing is hidden in each day 

Even when your life seems to be in a disarray

You have the power to choose how you live

To be stubborn and ignorant or to be  kind and learn to give. 

The world is full of cheaters and liars

But even their time eventually expires. 

There is bad in the world but there is also good 

Sometimes it can be a bit misunderstood, 

We can choose to kill it or let it blossom 

Because when you look, most things in life are awesome
