Under a guise

Hades and Persephone took one of their one of their other names.

A clever devise

In order, to learn the humans’ games.

Soteria and Pluto entered the human realm,

Building themselves a whole other empire.

At their company’s helm,

Pluto ruled Pomegranate with an iron fist.

Pomegranate deals with gemstone mining, refinement and sale.

The world got the gist

Of Pluto’s power and wealth as others fail

To take him down.

They tried everything: sabotage, scandal and hit men.

All they managed to do was make him frown

And enter the lion’s den.

Beside every great king there’s a phenomenal queen.

Her husband may oversee the financial, public front to the company,

But Soteria was in charge of the charity work as his wife and queen.

Fitting in her role wonderfully,

Soteria was reforestation activist.

Pomegranate was at the pinnacle of society,

No sign of greed or depravity.

To any who did not desist,

Soteria sent a message

To all those who wish them harm.

Known and feared as Kore, her marring charm

She showed them the edge

Of the abyss and a family friend, Thanatos.

Their throne may not be the same.  

This world may not be so easy to tame.

But she was his queen and he was her king,

If they’ve gone from the Underworld and back for each other,

Nothing at all will stop them from thriving

Here in the mortal world.
