The Power of a Dollar

Despite the origin, shape, or form,

money makes the world go round.

It can over power a well written speech,

and bring down a nation without making a sound.

But what if we stripped down material value

and used for what things are really worth?

We could create a more thoughtful,

and generous Earth.

Greed fuels wars for a neat paper slip,

showing no mercy for an inanimate figure.

We even charge our own kind

for a cooked meal and shelter.

Nature doesn't come with a pricetag

and doesn't ask for anything in return.

We should lend for no fortune, just appreciation.

This land we call home, we should take a seat and learn.
