The Power of Greed

Some of us have been taught to spend,

even if we will be in debt up to our very end

Others see glamour as a thing of pride,

ignoring their own faults hidden deep

Some have no other desire,

except to make more money than anyone else before they expire

Others forget that none of this you are allowed to take,

when the pall bearers on your funeral close the gate

It a shame that we chase the things in life that we truly don’t need,

but it’s the culture that we are raised in simply called Greed
