THE POWER I HOLD
I do not speak too much, you see,
Silence is my chosen key.
While others rage and storm the air,
I sit composed, I do not dare.
Why don’t I answer angry cries?
Why let the fury fill the skies?
Why not return the fire they throw?
Why let the restless tempers grow?
It’s not because I lack the might,
Nor fear to join them in the fight.
It’s not because I cannot sting,
Or shred their pride with just one fling.
The truth is deeper than it seems,
Beyond their noise and shattered dreams.
I hold a weapon few can wield—
A sharpened tongue, a hidden shield.
With just a word I could unmake,
Their peace, their pride, their hearts could break.
But I choose calm, I choose the light,
For peace, not war, defines my fight.
Do not mistake this quiet face,
For weakness in a softer place.
I simply mastered self-control,
For words alone could take your soul.
