Power of Idealism

(poems go here) It’s not for the money; it’s not for the fame, It’s not for any personal gain. It’s the reward in your heart, It’s a feeling that you’ve been a part, Of helping others far and near That makes you want to volunteer. Remember that things worth doing seldom come easy, But in the end it’s worth it completely. Maybe you’ll want to turn around, pack it up, and call it quits Don’t forget that these moments are always just a battle of wits. Let these times remind you that you’re not afraid to learn by trying, Because through it all you’ll come out flying. There are few who go that extra mile, To greet each day with a gracious heart and a smile. Who work for all children everywhere, When there’s a need – they are there. These are the ones we honor today And to you we wish to say – This world is now a better place Because it looked upon your face.
