The Power of Love

"Because I love you," they say as they hurt you.

"Because I love you," they say as they use you.

"Because I love you," they say as they break you.

"Because I love you," they say as they beat you.

"I love you" should never be an excuse.

When someone says they love you, it should be heartfelt. It should be meaningful, powerful, and passionate.

Often when someone says they love you, you feel that they mean it, even if they don't.

You can't rely on words, because actions speak louder than words.

Anyone can tell you they love you, but it takes real love to be able to show it.

At times, it's hard to tell rather they are showing it or not, and your feelings get confused.

When you feel love, you should feel happy. You should feel trust.

You should feel like you can tell that person anything without being judged or yelled at.

You shouldn't feel like everything you do is wrong.  

Don't let the words "I love you" fool you.

Don't let anybody treat you like anything but good. 

Don't let anyone take advantage of you, or abuse you.

No matter who you are, you don't deserve an unhealthy and or abusive relationship.

Everyone deserves to feel love and support.

The power of love is a great thing, it should never make you feel powerless.

We are human beings, we have feelings, and we deserve to be treated like it.

You are beautiful, you deserve to be loved.

Don't let anyone tell you different.
