Power of New Life

The day I grew up, I will never forget.

Not a day has gone by that I live with regret.

The contractions were long and would always restart.

Then within a flash, be still my beating heart.

Your face like an angel, with that twinkle in your eyes.

I was so happy when they put you on my chest up high.

In that moment I was I knew I would thrive.

It was time to grow up, and accept the power of new life.
