The Power of Pain

Pain

It hides in all of us

Some more than others

Pain

For some, it's a monster

Lurking in a deep abyss

It's malicious smile

Grinning in the dark

Pain

Arthritis riddles my body

Making it almost impossible to live everyday happily

Though I try my hardest

Pain

Though it hurts

I wake up every day

Though it hurts

I fight through the aches

Though it hurts

Pain has shaped me into the person I am today

And I wouldn't change it for the world
