The Power of the Pen

When no one else was there, you were.

For me, you were my only cure.

My pen and paper constant and true.

You helped me feel 'the happy' after 'the blue'

You taught me how to think for myself

Not to let me be put on a shelf

You taught me how to rhyme

How to always remember the time

Because time is important

Who doesn't know it?

You possess an unimaginable power

And it continues hour after hour after hour...
