Power of the Pen

To feel in control

The ability to free your thoughts

No holding back

No fear of hurt

No concern of judgements being passed

Ideas float across the page

Holding truth

Pent up passion

Fills the ink

Not a word spoken

It gives more power than speech!

I was inspired by the Why I write slam. The topic was just one that I could connect with.

Beeing able to free yourself onto the page is a freedom many poets value greatly and many more people need to experience it. This piece describes this feeling for you very well but i never thought about writing about the feeling myself. What inspired you to?
