Power of the Pen

To what degree of my mind is real?

A question to which the answer is here

I can make it all real in one sense or another

The power to create and destroy

In this medium I can control

With my imagination and paper

I can achieve world domination

Or have a simple life in a quaint little cottage

I can be a princess or a warrior

The satisfying role of creator

It provides a means to explore

Worlds with fairy dust and wishes

Or worlds with demons with malice

As creator, I have to power to choose

And overcome whatever obstacle arises

Anything is possible they say

Ah, yes

Everything can be done when there’s no one to hold me back

I can have healthy human-animal hybrids

Or an unstable utopia at the brink of evisceration

I can have everything and nothing, so long as I put it in words
